It’s no surprise Wichita State’s Greyson Jenista and Alec Bohm grabbed the attention of professional scouts. They hit many baseballs hard this summer in the Cape Cod League, generally regarded as the top league in the nation.
Baseball America ranks Jenista, a first baseman/outfielder from Eudora, the top prospect in the Cape. Bohm, a third baseman from Omaha, is No. 7.
“(Jenista’s) athleticism, feel for the barrel and emerging power give him the look of a top half of the first round pick,” Baseball America’s Teddy Cahill wrote.
Jenista hit .310 with three home runs and four doubles and a .401 slugging percentage.
