Expect a chilly Wednesday in the Wichita area before Thanksgiving delivers weather much more pleaseant, forecasters say.

Highs will top out in the upper 40s to low 50s on a sunny day Wednesday. But Thursday will see highs vault into the mid- to upper 60s with plenty of sunshine and light winds.

Friday will be even warmer, forecasters say, with record highs possible in Wichita and elsewhere.

No precipitation is in the forecast, which will be good news for those hitting the road for Thanksgiving.
