It’ll be a warm, windy Friday in the Wichita area, forecasters say.

Highs will reach the mid-70s under gradually clearing skies. South winds will be in the teens, gusting to nearly 30 miles an hour at times.

A cold front will arrive early Saturday morning, shifting winds to the north and dropping highs about 20 degrees. Temperatures will top out in the mid-50s on a sunny day Saturday, forecasters say.

Those north winds will be robust, blasting steadily at more than 30 miles an hour for a while in the morning before easing later in the day. Gusts could reach the mid-40s an hour at times.

Sunday will also be sunny, forecasters say, but winds will switch back to the south and soften to single digits at times. Highs may climb near 60.
