A bit of sunshine will return to the Wichita area Sunday after an extended gray spell.

Highs should reach the mid-50s as the skies gradually clear, forecasters say. Winds will be light out of the north.

Monday will closely resemble Sunday, with more clouds than sun and highs in the mid-50s. Winds will shift to the south later in the day, bringing a slight chance of rain late Monday night and Tuesday morning.

But the front will also bring warmer temperatures, forecasters say, with highs creeping into the 60s Tuesday and persisting for the next few days.
