It’ll be a gray, chilly and maybe even drizzly day in the Wichita area on Friday, forecasters say.

Highs will top out in the upper 40s to low 50s, with scattered areas of fog and drizzle by mid-afternoon. Winds will be out of the north and northeast in the teens, gusting at times to nearly 20 miles an hour.

The weekend will be much nicer, forecasters say, with temperatures soaring into the 60s and 70s. There will be more clouds than sun on Saturday, when winds will be light out of the southeast.

Sunday will see winds shift to the west and northwest, forecasters say, but skies will be mostly sunny.
