Sunshine and 60s are on tap for the Wichita area on Thursday, forecasters say.

Winds will be light and variable, shifting from the south to the north in the morning. That wind shift will signal the approach of another cold front, which will send temperatures dropping later in the afternoon.

Highs on a mostly cloudy day Friday will only be in the mid- to upper 50s. But the weekend will be significantly warmer, with plenty of sunshine and highs in the 70s.

The temperature teeter-totter will continue early next week, however, with highs dropping back to the 50s on Monday.

There’s even a chance for snow in Wichita on Wednesday, forecasters say.
