There will be more clouds and more wind in the Wichita area on Friday, forecasters say.

But it’ll still be warm, with highs expected to reach the upper 70s. South winds in the teens will strengthen to the 20s by afternoon, with gusts reaching the mid-30s.

A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives early Saturday morning, when lows will only drop to the mid-60s. Showers and thunderstorms are even more likely Saturday afternoon and evening, forecasters say. Highs on Saturday will again be in the mid-70s.

Winds will shift as the front moves through, first to the west later on Saturday and then to the north late Saturday night.
