Thursday will offer pleasant weather for the Wichita area, forecasters say.

The robust winds of the past few days had eased by Wednesday evening and they won’t be as brisk on Thursday. Highs should top out in the upper 70s or low 80s on a mostly cloudy day in Wichita, forecasters say.

South winds will be light in the morning before increasing to the teens by afternoon. Breezy conditions are expected to return on Friday, however, with south winds gusting to more than 25 miles an hour on a mostly sunny day. Highs will reach the mid-70s.

A few showers and thunderstorms are possible on Saturday in the metropolitan area, forecasters say. Monitor later forecasts for updates.
