A maintenance employee working to fix an inoperable gas pump in Wichita found a credit card skimmer inside the machine at about 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
The 45-year-old man then notified the Wichita Police Department of the skimmer at the Circle K in the 2300 block of South Seneca.
Officer Charley Davidson said the device had Bluetooth capabilities that would allow the installer to collect credit card data.
Police do not know how long the skimmer was on the pump, but the machine had not been working for a couple of weeks.
If you think your card has been compromised, Davidson said to file a police report and notify your credit card company.
