Along with some good news for Towne West Square – the Convergys call center will be taking 33,500 square feet of the former Sears space later this summer – there’s some disappointing news, too.
Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, a longtime staple at the mall, will be leaving.
No one with the Ohio-based company is talking yet, nor is anyone with Towne West, but Cristi Howell of J.P. Weigand & Sons confirms it.
Howell and Weigand broker Doug Malone handled a deal for new Jo-Ann’s space at Westgate Market at Kellogg and Dugan Road where T.J. Maxx and Ross Dress For Less are.

Jo-Ann Fabric will take 22,000 square feet of the former OfficeMax space. That leaves 8,236 square feet remaining of that store’s old space.
There’s also 11,480 square feet adjacent to that where Circuit City used to be. Ross Dress For Less took part of the former Circuit City space.
Look for more information about the Jo-Ann Fabric move as it becomes available.
