Kesha Brandt had some powerful motivation before opening her first vape shop three and a half years ago.

“I had buried two different grandmas six months apart from lung cancer,” she says.

Brandt was a smoker, too.

“I had been an on-and-off smoker for 12 years,” she says.

Then she started seeing advertising for vaping starter kits and bought one.

“I quit smoking 18 hours later, and so I wanted to help other people,” Brandt says.

She opened her first Yogi’s Vape in Hutchinson and her second six months ago in McPherson.

Now she’s opening her third at 5255 N. Maize Road across from a Kwik Shop and near K-96.

“Something in me just pulled at my gut and told me to try Maize,” Brandt says. “I’m one of those people that follows my gut instinct.”

The store will sell a variety of vaping products, including starter kits.

Brandt says she hopes to open in time for Black Friday.
