The new space is 1,200 square feet compared to the 800 square feet the shop used to have.
“We were able to add three more stations, and our waiting area is a little bigger,” Jaimes says.
There’s also basement space that’s about 2,000 square feet that Jaimes says she’s still trying to decide what to do with.

“We’re getting some ideas on what we’re going to do down there,” she says. “That is a big question.”
There now are seven stations at the shop.
“We are getting a lot of clients,” Jaimes says. “We are hoping to hire barbers soon.”
Also, there will be a slight name change. A new sign isn’t up yet – Jaimes is still taking bids – but she’s changing the name to Village Barber and Shave Shop.
