Halloween means free candy, of course.

But at several Wichita restaurants, it also means free, cheap or festive meals and deals as well.

Here is a list of some of the Wichita restaurants offering Halloween specials on Wednesday.

Acapulco Restaurant, 217 W. Broadway, Newton: Kids eat free all day.

BurgerFi, 2441 N. Maize Road: People in costume who visit this new restaurant on Halloween get a free small custard or a free small fries.

Chico’s Mexican Restaurant, 4407 W. Maple: Kids in costume who stop in between 5 and 7 p.m. will get a Chico’s goodie bag.

Chipotle, several Wichita locations: As part of its “boorito” promotion, Chipotle will sell people wearing costumes on Wednesday a burrito, bowl, salad or tacos for $4.

Chuck E. Cheese’s, 3223 N. Rock Road: Kids wearing costumes on Halloween get 50 free tickets.

Dempsey’s Biscuit Co., 3425 E. Douglas: From 3 to 9 p.m. on Halloween, people who dine in at Dempsey’s Biscuit Co. can buy one entree and get one of equal or lesser value for free.

Fusa, 303 S. Greenwich: This is a big one. One of Wichita’s best undiscovered dishes — Fusa’s honey walnut chicken — is 50 percent off on Halloween for people wearing costumes. The deal is offered from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

IHOP, several Wichita locations: Between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Halloween, kids ages 12 and under can get a free Scary Face pancake.

McAlister’s Deli, 7130 W. Maple, 2222 N. Greenwich Road: Kids wearing costumes eat free at McAlister’s Deli restaurants from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday.

Papa John’s, several Wichita locations: This pizza chain is serving Jack-O-Lanern Shaped thin-crust pepperoni pizzas in honor of the holiday for $11.

Papa Murphy’s, several Wichita locations: This take-and-bake pizza chain also is serving Jack-O-Lantern-shaped pepperoni pizzas.

QuikTrip, several Wichita locations: Kids age 12 and under who visit a local QuikTrip store in costume from 4 to 10 p.m. on Halloween night will get a free vanilla ice cream cone.

Sonic, several Wichita locations: Corn dogs are 50 cents on Wednesday.

VietNom Nom, 8641 W. 13th St..: From 5 to 9 p.m. on Halloween, kids 12 and under who are wearing costumes will eat for $1. There will also be a costume contest with gift card prizes.
