It’s been way too long since we had a Dining with Denise Dinner.

Since March 7, to be exact.

And what a dinner it was. A group of about 60 diners turned out to sample dishes prepared by Molino’s Northeast, and among the people in the crowd were Dining with Denise readers, restaurateurs like Scott Redler from Freddy’s Frozen Custard, Felipe Lujano from Felipe’s and T.D. O'Connell from Hog Wild Pit Bar-B-Q. Even head Shocker basketball coach Gregg Marshall and his wife, Lynn, were there.

The flavorless drought since that dinner is about to end. We’re putting on another dinner that will allow readers of my dining news to get together, talk food and enjoy a meal at one of Wichita’s favorite restaurants.

Never miss a local story.

The next Dining with Denise Dinner is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 13, at the Woodfire Grill inside the Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane. If you haven’t been there yet, this is one beautiful dining space filled with warm colors and fire places and one that non-casino goers might not always think to visit.

For $55, you’ll be able to attend the dinner and enjoy a four-course meal prepared by the restaurant’s talented head chef, Jennifer Reschneider. Each course will be paired with a different wine from Cakebread. You’ll also be able to chat with me and with the other foodies who attend, and the chef as well as a wine expert from Standard Beverage also will speak.

You can see the full menu, populated with braised short ribs and corned duck breast and chocolate mousse, below.

Make reservations now at https://www.kansasstarcasino.com/dine/woodfire-grille. Just complete the online dinner reservation, choose Nov. 13, 2017, and reserve your seats.

Cocktails will start at 5:30 p.m., and dinner will start at 6 p.m.

You coming?
