Never mind about the hookah at Heroes

August 11, 2017 11:42 AM

The people who are taking over management of Heroes Sports Bar & Grill, 117 N. Mosley, have changed their minds about adding hookah smoking on the patio.

Hussein Alkasasy, who is renovating the restaurant with partners Raed Mansour and Ehab Mansour, said on Thursday that hookah would be one of the new features they would offer. But by the end of the day, they’d reversed that decision.

“We decide to take it off for safety reasons,” he said.

The bar, which had cut back to a Thursday through Saturday schedule, is closed for renovations this weekend but should reopen with a seven-day-a-week schedule sometime next week, Alkasasy said.
